What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the implementation of risk management strategies and policies for the branch.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture and conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Facilitate risk management training programs and communicate developments in risk management.
  • Develop and maintain the Risk Management Framework in compliance with National Treasury guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed risk management reports for senior management and oversight bodies.
  • Oversee performance management and evaluation processes, including the coordination of monthly and quarterly performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with other national departments and partners on monitoring and evaluation efforts.
  • Manage quality assurance for corporate support services, including audit communication and responses.
  • Investigate irregular expenditures and potential financial risks while providing guidance on compliance matters.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Accounting, Auditing, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a junior management role within Finance, Internal Control, Auditing, or Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting Systems, particularly Accpac.
  • Understanding of GRAP and Treasury Regulations.
  • Strong skills in project management, team management, and interpersonal communication.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and resource planning.
