What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and consolidate planning efforts for strategic and annual initiatives.
- Manage queries and correspondence within the office, ensuring timely responses.
- Oversee matters related to portfolio committee issues, audit findings, and parliamentary queries.
- Develop and maintain efficient document management systems to support office operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Provincial Operations and represent the office at meetings and engagements.
- Record minutes and decisions from meetings, following up on action items.
- Prepare briefing notes and other documents to ensure proper preparation for discussions.
- Assist in financial administration and budget needs assessment for the office.
- Manage human resources functions within the Provincial Operations framework.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Public or Business Administration/Management.
- Five years of management experience in an administrative environment.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Knowledge of public service policies, administration processes, and government legislation.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client orientation.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
