What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive fiscal policy research aligned with National Treasury requirements.
  • Review the international macroeconomic environment and its impacts on fiscal sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain a fiscal sustainability model and revenue analysis workbook.
  • Research and analyze government financial statistics and maintain a standard fiscal policy database.
  • Assist in consolidating government fiscal frameworks and provide analytical reports for budget processes.
  • Support budget media analysis and prepare documentation for presentations.
  • Engage stakeholders on economic issues, focusing on the implications of government fiscal policies.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum Grade 12 coupled with a National Diploma (NQF level 6) or Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Economics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Statistics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in fiscal analysis, public finance, or economic research.
  • Familiarity with policy development and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Economic Analysis and Research, as well as the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
