What You’ll Do

  • Develop and oversee the Directorate’s Annual Strategic Plan and Operational Plan.
  • Collaborate with provincial teams to ensure the effective monitoring and evaluation of the nutrition program.
  • Strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external research and evaluations of the program.
  • Support provinces in providing quality and timely reports on program performance.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and report on quarterly performance data.
  • Review and customize reports for various stakeholders as requested.
  • Address internal and external audit findings and report on resolutions.
  • Identify program risks and update the Risk Register accordingly.
  • Facilitate training sessions on program implementation for staff.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and maintain strong networks with research organizations.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant post-matric qualification (NQF level 6) in Monitoring and Evaluation or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in research or as an Assistant Director.
  • Proven ability to analyze and present performance data effectively.
  • Strong skills in report writing and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies and program effectiveness frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the National School Nutrition Programme and its compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and effective public speaking skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
