What You’ll Do

  • Develop and review the municipal provincial capacity-building framework.
  • Strengthen institutional capacity in municipalities through the Professionalization Framework.
  • Manage the implementation of municipal staff regulations and provide ongoing support.
  • Conduct training sessions for municipal staff regarding staff regulations.
  • Monitor municipal staff establishment and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation of anti-fraud and corruption measures in municipalities.
  • Manage the development and execution of municipal workplace skill plans.

What You’ll Need

  • Matric and an undergraduate qualification (NQF 6) in Public Management, Municipal Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years at the Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
  • Valid driver’s license (note: exceptions apply for persons with disabilities).
  • Extensive knowledge of Municipal and Public Service Regulations and related legislative frameworks.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, strategic management, project management, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and report writing skills, with an emphasis on creative and analytical thinking.
