What You’ll Do

  • Lead the analysis of departmental business strategic needs to inform ICT system enhancements.
  • Manage the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing software applications.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of new ICT systems aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with other ICT teams to develop and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of customized software applications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative frameworks and best practices in ICT governance.

What You’ll Need

  • A Matric certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Information Communication Technology, recognized by SAQA.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the ICT field, with a minimum of 3 years at the Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts governing the public service, such as the Public Service Act and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Proven experience in project management, system development lifecycle (SDLC), and software architecture.
  • Strong communication skills and a solid foundation in people management and problem-solving.
