What You’ll Do
- Coordinate operational data management activities to support data governance frameworks.
- Monitor and evaluate data quality, integrity, and security across ICT systems.
- Promote digital government principles such as openness, transparency, and citizen-centricity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards for data protection.
- Lead technical and governance aspects of the digital transformation roadmap’s data initiatives.
- Identify and report emerging risks in data governance and compliance, recommending corrective actions.
- Support the development of institutional capacity in data governance and enhance system interoperability.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate NQF level 6 qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of five years’ experience, with at least three years in a middle managerial role within an ICT, Digital Government, or Digital Transformation environment.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles and metadata management frameworks.
- Proficiency in risk management and project management.
- Experience with data management tools and platforms for secure data handling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
