What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement mechanisms to respond to changing financial information needs.
  • Provide technical advice to the Accounting Officer and Line Managers on resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act and related regulations.
  • Oversee the budgetary process, providing early warning arrangements at a strategic level.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Supply Chain Management Systems.
  • Prepare and submit the annual financial statements and liaise with the Auditor General.
  • Manage diverse HR Management, labour relations, and HR development services within the Department.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate SAQA recognised Honors Degree or Post Graduate Diploma (NQF level 8) relevant to the field.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience at a senior managerial level.
  • Registration as CA (SA) is an added advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GRAP and the Public Finance Management Act.
  • Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.
  • Leadership ability to secure financial resources and build effective teams.
