What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the acquisition of government-owned vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of government-owned vehicles and related services.
  • Administer subsidized motor vehicle programs effectively.
  • Conduct inspections and audits on government vehicles to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Handle the disposal of government vehicles in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Utilize resources wisely, including financial and human capital, in line with legislative requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF 6 qualification in Logistical Management, Transport Management, or Supply Chain Management as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the Fleet Management field, with at least three years at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Knowledge of relevant acts, directives, and resolutions related to fleet management.
  • Strong skills in financial management, planning, organization, and communication.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and analytical thinking.
  • Demonstrated managerial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
