What You’ll Do
- Administer the acquisition of government-owned vehicles, ensuring optimal procurement processes.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of government vehicles, ensuring compliance with legislation and directives.
- Manage subsidized motor vehicles and related services, providing support to eligible users.
- Conduct inspections and audits of government vehicles to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Supervise the disposal of government vehicles, ensuring that processes are efficient and sustainable.
- Manage financial, human, and physical resources in line with relevant policies and regulations.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Logistical Management, Transport Management, or Supply Chain Management, as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the Fleet Management field, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of relevant acts, directives, and resolutions related to fleet management.
- Proficiency in financial management, planning, and organizing skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability in policy formulation, negotiation, conflict management, and strategic thinking.
