What You’ll Do

  • Barcode new and existing assets for easy identification and tracking.
  • Scan all assets per location using the designated scanning application.
  • Support inventory and consumables review activities at various facilities.
  • Use Business Intelligence tools to identify unverified assets and slow-moving inventory.
  • Capture all asset movements, balance adjustments, and donations accurately.
  • Conduct thorough asset verification and inventory spot checks across directorates.
  • Confirm and process unserviceable assets for further action.
  • Maintain and roll out asset and inventory management applications.
  • Provide an effective Helpdesk service for asset management inquiries.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Accounting or Mathematics.
  • Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management practices or asset verification.
  • Willingness to travel within the Western Cape, including potential stays in nurse homes.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of asset verification processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.
