What You’ll Do

  • Manage the design and implementation of broadcasting technologies programmes and strategies.
  • Coordinate national broadcasting infrastructure projects to support digital migration.
  • Oversee the efficient use of broadcasting spectrum to improve service quality.
  • Collaborate with public and private broadcasters, content creators, and regulatory bodies to enhance broadcasting services.
  • Provide technical insights for policy and regulation development in alignment with national and international frameworks.
  • Support the adoption of emerging technologies such as IPTV, OTT services, and 5G broadcasting.
  • Conduct oversight monitoring on projects within the broadcasting infrastructure directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, ICT, Engineering, or Communication and Media studies.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant environment at Assistant Director level or middle management.
  • Understanding of digital broadcasting and broadcasting engineering principles.
  • Strong skills in project management and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills.
