What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the secretariat functions for the TTCSA to ensure smooth operations.
  • Gather and analyze quarterly reports from the TTCSA for compliance with planning standards.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive Council reports to senior government officials.
  • Facilitate quarterly meetings between the Council and the Deputy Minister/Minister.
  • Manage the transfer of budget allocations to the TTCSA and ensure proper documentation.
  • Develop and maintain a database of stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
  • Monitor stakeholder engagements and report on compliance challenges.
  • Implement and manage empowerment programs in collaboration with tourism stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness on the Tourism Transformation Policy and coordinate consultation plans.
  • Design and present content on transformation policies to various stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized NQF Level 7 qualification in Public Management, Social Science, Development or Policy Studies, or Business Management.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in stakeholder management, secretariat services, policy studies, or project management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • A valid B-BBEE Management Development Programme Certificate.
  • Knowledge of relevant tourism legislation and policies, including the Tourism White Paper and Amended B-BBEE Act.
  • Strong skills in project management, financial management, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and liaison abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A valid driver’s license is required (candidates with disabilities can still apply).
