What You’ll Do

  • Manage all administrative and coordination activities within the executive authority’s office.
  • Develop and maintain systems, registers, and databases for document management.
  • Compile correspondence, submissions, and cabinet memoranda as required.
  • Provide comments on submissions for the executive authority’s consideration.
  • Coordinate procurement, maintenance of equipment, and budget administration.
  • Offer logistical support to the office and manage the registry effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with document classification standards.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding relevant portfolio matters.
  • Summarize key issues for the Director: MEC Support concerning Cabinet and executive council agendas.
  • Supervise employees and coordinate office activities efficiently.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate plus an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role at or below middle management level.
  • Broad knowledge of the functional areas covered by the executive authority’s portfolio.
  • Proven management competencies and understanding of political and parliamentary processes in South Africa.
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to solve problems, analyze situations, and plan effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
