What You’ll Do

  • Manage and develop acquisition management policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Compile and obtain approval for operational acquisition management plans.
  • Oversee the execution and monitoring of acquisition management activities.
  • Set up Evaluation, Bid Adjudication, and Bid Specification Committees, providing secretariat services.
  • Compile and publish bid documents and manage the receipt and processing of these documents.
  • Develop terms of reference for inviting service providers and evaluate expressions of interest.
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and manage bid sourcing according to Treasury threshold values.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the sub-directorate.
  • Compile and submit administrative reports and manage procurement and asset management for the sub-directorate.
  • Lead and develop team members while ensuring quality control of work delivered.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF Level 6 qualification in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in the Supply Chain Management field, with at least three years at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license (exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of public service legislation and procurement policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing, planning, organizing, and problem-solving.
  • Team leadership abilities and an understanding of good governance principles.
