What You’ll Do
- Manage the design and development of acquisition management policies and procedures.
- Compile and obtain approval for operational and supply chain acquisition management plans.
- Monitor and review the execution of acquisition management activities.
- Set up and provide secretariat services for Evaluation, Bid Adjudication, and Bid Specification Committees.
- Compile, publish, and process bid documents and advertisements.
- Evaluate and adjudicate expressions of interest from service providers.
- Maintain a database of approved suppliers and manage sourcing of bids according to established thresholds.
- Oversee human resources and administrative functions within the sub-directorate.
- Develop and report on the operational plan of the sub-directorate.
- Ensure effective communication and proper control of work processes.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least three years at a supervisory level.
- Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, including the PFMA and SCM policies.
- Excellent people management, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in conflict management, negotiation, and report writing.
- Ability to plan, organize, and solve problems effectively.
- Computer literacy and understanding of good governance principles.
