What You’ll Do

  • Manage the admissions of vulnerable and intimidated witnesses and their related persons.
  • Coordinate witness protection operations, ensuring adherence to the NPA’s mandate.
  • Foster effective stakeholder relationships to enhance witness safety.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources while upholding good governance practices.
  • Provide leadership and management to the team involved in witness protection.
  • Conduct assessments to maintain accountability and safety standards.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate B Degree (NQF 7) or a three-year Diploma (NQF 6) in Policing or a related field.
  • At least six years of relevant experience in law enforcement or security.
  • Completion of police, military, or correctional service basic training.
  • Successful completion of a VIP and/or Close Protection course.
  • Competency in two or more official languages, including English.
  • Availability for extensive travel and readiness to respond 24/7.
  • Knowledge of public funds management according to the PFMA and relevant legislation.
  • Sound understanding of the Witness Protection Act, Firearm Control Act, and Criminal Procedure Act.
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preparedness to undergo a Top-Secret security clearance and competency assessments.
