What You’ll Do

  • Enforce laws related to illegal immigration, including investigation and monitoring.
  • Supervise the detection, tracing, arrest, and detention of illegal foreigners.
  • Investigate cases involving human trafficking and document fraud.
  • Appear in court and testify on behalf of the department in legal proceedings.
  • Manage deportation processes for illegal foreigners.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with immigration laws.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on related matters.
  • Prepare reports and manage statistical data concerning immigration enforcement.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure effective resource management.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, Policing, Criminology, Forensics, or Criminal Justice at NQF level 6.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a law enforcement environment.
  • Knowledge of the Immigration Act, Refugees Act, and relevant public service legislation.
  • A valid drivers’ license (Code C1 or C) and a Public Driver Permit (PDP).
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
