What You’ll Do

• Enforce immigration laws and monitor investigations related to illegal foreigners.
• Supervise and coordinate the detection, tracing, arrest, and detention of illegal migrants.
• Conduct thorough investigations into cases of human trafficking and document fraud.
• Appear in court and testify in criminal and civil proceedings on behalf of the Department.
• Manage the deportation processes of illegal foreigners, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and relevant institutions for effective identity verification.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate statistics as required.
• Safeguard and maintain assigned vehicles and tools in accordance with departmental policies.
• Coach and guide team members on regulatory compliance and best practices.

What You’ll Need

• A qualification in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, Policing, Criminology, Forensics, or Criminal Justice at NQF level 6.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a law enforcement environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Immigration Act, Refugees Act, and Criminal Procedure Act.
• Understanding of public service legislative frameworks and government structures.
• A valid driver’s license (Code C1 or C) and a Public Driver Permit (PDP).
• Willingness to travel, including potential international assignments.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and report-writing abilities, along with computer literacy.
• A commitment to integrity and service delivery innovation.
