What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee the care of patients admitted to the hospital, ensuring quality treatment and adherence to medical standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate actively in academic and training programs to foster professional growth within the hospital.
- Conduct clinical audits to maintain and improve standards of patient care.
- Provide support to hospital management to ensure efficient service delivery and patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and comply with the Performance Management and Development System.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualifications allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
- Valid work permit required for non-South African applicants.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and current health policies.
- Experience in multidisciplinary management and teamwork in a medical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teaching and guiding junior staff.
