What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical and management support for infrastructure projects to municipalities.
  • Manage and coordinate all project aspects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and execute project work plans while adapting to changing needs.
  • Assign responsibilities and manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and assess existing project conditions.
  • Monitor project progress and report to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of financial resources and adhere to budget constraints.
  • Supervise subordinates, providing guidance and leadership on project tasks.
  • Liaise with service providers, clients, and management to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in project management.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum three-year National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Built Environment fields such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
  • At least four years of certified experience in the Built Environment.
  • Compulsory registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) upon appointment.
  • A valid Code 08 driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to public infrastructure and project management principles.
  • Understanding of legal compliance in the construction field and familiarity with South Africa’s cultural and sporting environment.
