What You’ll Do

• Perform adult and paediatric echocardiography to support the diagnosis of cardiac conditions.
• Provide optimal patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding during procedures.
• Participate actively in departmental activities and collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive cardiac care.
• Monitor and maintain echocardiography equipment to ensure it operates effectively and safely.
• Assist in educating patients and their families about cardiac health and necessary procedures.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and an appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Technologist.
• Current registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a Cardiac Clinical Technologist is an advantage, though newly registered professionals are encouraged to apply.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen interest in adult and paediatric echocardiography.
