What You’ll Do

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene in and around the workplace
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks across assigned premises
  • Support the management of stores, stock, and equipment
  • Empty and clean waste baskets and dustbins, ensuring proper disposal
  • Clean and disinfect toilets, basins, and sinks regularly
  • Wash and maintain kitchenware and official dishes
  • Sweep, wash, and polish floors, tiles, and paving
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment in workspaces

What You’ll Need

  • Competency in basic cleaning functions
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language
  • South African citizenship (documentation required at the interview)
  • ABET Level 4/Grade 9/Standard 7 certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 1)
  • Familiarity with cleaning detergents and Occupational Health and Safety protocols
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues
  • Willingness to operate basic cleaning equipment and work extended hours if needed
