What You’ll Do

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene in and around SAPS premises, including routine cleaning tasks.
  • Dust furniture and floors, ensuring all surfaces are clean and presentable.
  • Remove refuse bags and manage waste disposal effectively.
  • Mop tiled floors and clean bathrooms, kitchenware, and utensils to ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Safeguard and handle a variety of cleaning materials responsibly.
  • Load and unload goods as required, contributing to the operational efficiency of the department.

What You’ll Need

  • Competency in the core functions of the Cleaner position.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one additional official language.
  • Citizenship of the Republic of South Africa, with documentary proof.
  • ABET Level 4, Grade 9, or Standard 7 certificate (NQF Level 1 recognized by SAQA).
  • Understanding of how to handle cleaning detergents safely.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with other officials.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
