What You’ll Do

  • Supervise daily operations of civic services to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Produce quality reports on turnaround times, processing documents and error rates.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to improve service delivery standards.
  • Allocate tasks to staff and monitor their progress against established targets.
  • Identify operational challenges and suggest improvements to management.
  • Oversee the application of identity smart cards and the registration of vital events.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage human, physical, and financial resources efficiently within the unit.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field (NQF level 6 recognized by SAQA).
  • At least 1 year of experience in operations or client/customer service environments.
  • Knowledge of front office operations and various filing systems.
  • Understanding of the Civic Services Regulatory Framework and Public Service Regulatory Framework.
  • A valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel or work extended hours as required.
  • Strong skills in computer literacy, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.
