About the Opportunity
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) invites South African unemployed graduates to join its dynamic internship program. This initiative is crafted to provide hands-on experience, enabling young professionals to enhance their skills in administration, planning, engineering, and public service delivery. With a duration of up to 18 months, interns will receive a monthly stipend of R10,109.86.

Key Responsibilities
– Executive Director’s Office: Provide administrative and professional support, assist with research and analysis, support monitoring and evaluation processes, contribute to business plans and reports, assist with strategic planning, support HR and compliance functions, and participate in event planning and communication activities.
– Transport Systems Management: Assist in transport planning and policy implementation, support development of transport strategies, evaluate traffic impact studies, participate in stakeholder consultation processes, and assist with transport development projects.
– Quantity Surveyor: Prepare and review project quantities, monitor project costs and invoices, support infrastructure programme delivery, assist in risk management and budgeting, and ensure project timelines and cost efficiency.

Requirements/Qualifications
– Must be a South African citizen
– Must be unemployed
– Possess a relevant Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or 7)
– Willingness to commit to the full internship duration
