What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic financial advice to ensure effective resource utilization
  • Develop and implement financial management policies and procedures
  • Oversee financial accounting and administration services
  • Conduct medium and long-term financial planning aligned with MTEF processes
  • Compile budget estimates and manage project financial forecasting
  • Monitor expenditure trends and compile appropriation statements
  • Liaise with the Auditor General and other stakeholders to ensure compliance
  • Manage supply chain and asset management services
  • Facilitate training and development for financial staff
  • Ensure adherence to legislative and regulatory frameworks

What You’ll Need

  • NQF 7 tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
  • A postgraduate qualification in Finance/Accounting is advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior management financial roles
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of public finance management legislation and policies
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, planning, and reporting
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
