What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic engineering advice for agricultural and rural infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and approve engineering designs and project implementation plans.
• Supervise the maintenance and rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure.
• Conduct regular field inspections and quality assessments on projects.
• Mentor and lead candidate engineers and technical staff.
• Manage external professional service providers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the operational capital project portfolio and manage project budgets.
• Compile risk logs and manage significant risks in engineering operations.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing initiatives to support team development.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 certificate.
• An Agricultural Engineering degree (BSc / B Eng).
• Six years of post-qualification experience as a registered Professional Engineer (Agricultural).
• Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Three years of management experience.
• Strong supervisory skills and knowledge in project management.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
• Ability to create a high-performance culture and lead teams effectively.
• Sound knowledge of engineering design, maintenance, and compliance standards.
