What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic engineering advice for agricultural and rural infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate and approve engineering designs and project implementation plans.
- Supervise the maintenance and rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure.
- Conduct regular field inspections and quality assessments on projects.
- Mentor and lead candidate engineers and technical staff.
- Manage external professional service providers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and environmental regulations.
- Oversee the operational capital project portfolio and manage project budgets.
- Compile risk logs and manage significant risks in engineering operations.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing initiatives to support team development.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 certificate.
- An Agricultural Engineering degree (BSc / B Eng).
- Six years of post-qualification experience as a registered Professional Engineer (Agricultural).
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Three years of management experience.
- Strong supervisory skills and knowledge in project management.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Ability to create a high-performance culture and lead teams effectively.
- Sound knowledge of engineering design, maintenance, and compliance standards.
