What You’ll Do

  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and calibrations of anaesthetic and respiratory life support equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and evaluations of medical devices.
  • Maintain accurate records, write reports, and develop specifications for equipment management.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to hospital personnel on equipment use and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant protocols.
  • Manage and organize maintenance schedules effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • A B-Tech or National Diploma in Engineering (T- or N- or S- Stream) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant practical experience in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, particularly anaesthetic and respiratory devices.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B) and reliable transportation for call-out duties.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and technical insight.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with diverse teams.
  • Computer literacy and an understanding of clinical engineering functions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, standby duties, and after-hour calls as necessary.
