What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational inspections to ensure adherence to labour legislation.
  • Investigate reported cases of labour law violations and enforce compliance when necessary.
  • Carry out proactive Blitz inspections to monitor and promote compliance with various labour laws.
  • Facilitate advocacy campaigns focused on specific labour legislation to educate both employees and employers.
  • Assist in developing inspection plans, drafting reports, and compiling statistics on cases handled.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant qualification in Labour Relations, BCOM Law, or LLB (minimum of three years).
  • A valid driver’s license to facilitate travel for inspections and investigations.
  • Knowledge of key labour legislation, including the Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
  • Strong facilitation and planning skills, with the ability to organize your own work effectively.
  • Proficient in computing, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, interviewing, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
