What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of workplaces to ensure compliance with labour legislation.
- Investigate reported cases of labour law violations and enforce regulations as necessary.
- Carry out proactive blitz inspections to monitor ongoing compliance.
- Plan and implement advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of relevant labour legislation.
- Assist in drafting inspection plans, compiling reports, and maintaining statistics on cases handled.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year relevant qualification in Labour Relations, BCom Law, or LLB.
- A valid driver’s license to facilitate site visits and inspections.
- Knowledge of departmental policies, the Skills Development Act, and various labour laws including the Labour Relations Act and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
- Strong skills in facilitation, planning, and organisation, alongside proficiency in computer software such as spreadsheets and word processing.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
