What You’ll Do
- Provide guidelines to deeds registries and conveyancers based on new legislation and court rulings
- Draft circulars and government notices related to deeds registration
- Review and provide commentary on draft legislation relevant to property rights
- Conduct research and prepare legal opinions on appeals and inquiries from the public
- Assist with administrative tasks for the Deeds Registries Regulation Board and other associated bodies
- Attend to public and ministerial inquiries, ensuring responsive communication
- Organize meetings, draft agendas, and compile minutes for board discussions
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Law, Deeds Registration Law, or a related qualification
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Senior Examiner or Deeds Registration Assistant
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of deeds registration processes and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer skills and document tracking systems
- Ability to analyze policy and develop reports
