What You’ll Do

• Conduct thorough vetting fieldwork investigations to assess the suitability of candidates for sensitive positions.
• Provide valuable inputs for the development of policies, guidelines, norms, and standards related to vetting investigations.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels between the department and the SSA, as well as other related agencies.
• Manage and administer files related to vetting projects and actively participate in task teams addressing vetting processes.

What You’ll Need

• An undergraduate NQF Level 6 Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Successful completion of a Vetting Course/Training offered by SSA, SANDF, or SAPS, along with a valid Top Secret Security Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in conducting Top Secret/Secret vetting investigations.
• Solid understanding of the legislative framework governing Public Service, including the Constitution of South Africa and related regulations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, investigation skills, and the capacity to draft quality vetting reports.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on client orientation and teamwork.
