What You’ll Do
- Coordinate operational and strategic planning processes within the department.
- Facilitate the development and alignment of strategic and operational plans with organizational objectives.
- Organize and guide planning sessions for business units on strategic planning methodologies.
- Support the creation of performance and implementation plans.
- Monitor progress against approved plans and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Compile strategic planning reports and dashboards for management review.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure service delivery initiatives meet their needs.
- Promote continuous improvement practices across all levels of the organization.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of priority programmes and projects.
- Supervise human resources and maintain staff discipline.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in a relevant field such as Public Administration or Strategic Management.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role within strategic management or planning.
- Knowledge of the Public Service Act and Batho Pele Principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- A valid driver’s license.
