What You’ll Do

  • Ensure compliance with national and provincial legislation and policies within the department.
  • Develop strategic plans and initiate projects that support special programmes targeted at various community groups.
  • Coordinate events and activities while liaising with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Monitor and evaluate the functionality of departmental forums and structures.
  • Compile performance reports on strategic and special programmes activities.
  • Manage departmental assets and finances in line with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Supervise and manage staff effectively to achieve departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma or Degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in coordinating special programmes and strategic planning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of departmental processes and the legislative framework related to strategic planning.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in report writing and project management.
