What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the implementation of the Departmental Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report.
  • Facilitate skills audits and identify organizational skills gaps.
  • Manage relationships with ETDP SETA, institutions of higher learning, and training providers.
  • Oversee training, development, and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Coordinate bursary, internship, learnership, and experiential learning programs.
  • Monitor the implementation of HRD programs and interventions.
  • Compile management reports, statistics, and compliance reports.
  • Lead and support the Governance and Consultative Skills Development Committee Structures.
  • Manage training budgets and monitor expenditure effectively.
  • Provide technical advice on human resource development initiatives.
  • Supervise and develop staff within the component.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Coordinate provincial and district skills development projects and programs.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 6 in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Education Management, Training and Development, Management Services, or a related qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience, with at least three years at a lower management or supervisory level within the Skills Development, Human Resource Development, Training Coordination, and Workplace Learning fields.
  • A valid vehicle driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Skills Development Act and Employment Equity Act.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, financial management, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRD systems.
