What You’ll Do
- Implement and operationalise appointment and salary administration processes.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and legislative requirements for various appointment types.
- Maintain and update personnel information on the Personnel and Salary system (PERSAL).
- Monitor and quality assure the approval of appointments and contracts.
- Ensure timely processing of salary payments and amendments to prescripts.
- Process leave applications and manage leave records, including incapacity applications.
- Conduct audits and verifications related to service benefits and leave gratuities.
- Collaborate with HR components, management, and unions on various matters.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) along with a three-year relevant qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field.
- Knowledge of the South African Schools Act and service benefits processes.
- Familiarity with relevant public service prescripts and legislation.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PERSAL.
