About the Role
The Office of the Chief Justice is looking for a dedicated Assistant Director: Security Management to join its team at the Free State Provincial Service Centre. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the comprehensive security functions of the office. This includes overseeing personnel security, document security, and physical asset protection, as well as developing and implementing effective security measures and procedures. What You’ll Do
- Assist in managing the overall security functions of the Office of the Chief Justice.
- Implement security and risk management policies effectively.
- Develop and enforce appropriate security measures and procedures.
- Create and conduct training and awareness programs related to security.
- Liaise with security-related authorities and relevant government departments.
- Manage private security service providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Facilitate internal and external audits related to security and risk management.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Security Management or Risk Management.
- Completion of Grade A State Security Agency Course.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a security environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Office and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
- Strong report writing skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
