What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation of school sports programmes and district championships.
- Establish partnerships with schools and local stakeholders to support sports initiatives.
- Facilitate the registration and provision of resources for schools involved in sports leagues and festivals.
- Develop and maintain a database of schools within educational zones and circuits.
- Conduct meetings with the Department of Education to plan and oversee sports programmes.
- Manage the school sport budget, ensuring compliance with operational plans and grant requirements.
- Prepare regular performance and expenditure reports on school sports activities.
- Engage with stakeholders to develop annual operational plans for school sports.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate along with a three-year Degree or Diploma in a related field.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the sport and recreation environment at a senior or officer level.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and report writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of financial administration.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Competencies in project management and understanding of relevant sports regulations.
