What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the development and management of the Ethics Management Strategy and related policies.
  • Coordinate the creation of departmental ethics and fraud risk registers.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff within the Risk Management unit.
  • Investigate reported cases of conflict of interest and unauthorized remunerative work.
  • Administer and coordinate financial declarations by departmental officials.
  • Implement ethics and fraud management strategies effectively.
  • Develop and monitor ethics performance and compliance with policies.
  • Conduct lifestyle reviews and audits, preparing reports for review.
  • Facilitate Risk/Fraud/Ethics forum meetings and stakeholder liaison.
  • Lead awareness campaigns on ethics and anti-corruption within the department.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Risk Management, Internal Auditing, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a supervisory level in Ethics Management or Anti-Corruption.
  • Certification as an Ethics Officer is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Integrity Management Framework.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal relations and creative presentation abilities.
  • Competent planning, organizing, and research skills.
  • Understanding of investigation techniques and methodologies.
  • High levels of honesty, integrity, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
