What You’ll Do

  • Manage land claims information and records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Standardize and restructure land claims files for improved organization.
  • Digitize paper-based land claims files to enhance data management practices.
  • Update and maintain the land claims statistical database, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare and submit terms of reference for publishing land claims in the government gazette.
  • Coordinate the land claims lodgement process, including managing claimant communications.
  • Compile, analyze, and disseminate statistical reports on land claims to internal and external clients.
  • Oversee registry services, including mail, courier, and messenger coordination.
  • Provide management reports on land claims statistics and trends.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Information Management, Information Science, or Records Management (NQF Level 6) or related qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in an information management environment.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the restitution process and financial management processes.
  • Familiarity with the National Archives Act and the Public Finance Management Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various database management systems.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
