What You’ll Do
- Monitor the execution of capital works and planned maintenance projects within the department.
- Ensure timely follow-ups with the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure regarding project progress.
- Prepare and compile reports for the Director: Facilities Management Services using the Project Management System.
- Participate in site inspections, client forums, and technical meetings to ensure project completion.
- Manage financial reporting and compilation of statements related to capital works projects.
- Provide technical assistance for Public Private Partnership (PPP) infrastructure projects.
- Facilitate communication between the department and PPP stakeholders, ensuring cooperative governance.
- Assist in the implementation of partnership agreements and manage project contract schedules.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in relevant fields such as Public Management, Project Management, or similar.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- At least 3 years of experience at a supervisory level in a Public-Private Partnership environment.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury regulations, and asset management frameworks.
- Strong computer literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of planning, organizing, and problem-solving with analytical thinking and negotiation skills.
