The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking an Assistant Director: Policy Coordination based in Polokwane. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the development, review, and analysis of departmental policies.
- Provide administrative and advisory support to various departmental units.
- Facilitate the submission and presentation of finalized policies for management endorsement.
- Manage resources, including financial, human, and physical, in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding and implementation of policies.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Policy Development and Analysis, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in the aforementioned areas will be advantageous.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in policy development, analysis, and coordination at a supervisory level.
- Strong knowledge of the policy development cycle and public sector legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and facilitate participatory approaches.
- Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
