What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily operations of the photo capturing unit.
  • Coordinate fingerprint capturing and processing of applications.
  • Oversee the work of senior fingerprint officers and fingerprint officers.
  • Ensure compliance with DHA guidelines in processing photographs and fingerprints.
  • Prepare monthly reports on project status and progress.
  • Testify in court regarding fingerprint and identification matters.
  • Provide training and support to fingerprint personnel.
  • Investigate and resolve exceptional cases promptly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Develop training manuals and conduct feasibility studies on best practices.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Public Management, Administration, Business Management, or Social Science at an NQF level 6.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Civic and Immigration Services.
  • Knowledge of Workflow and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with Civic Services Regulations and the Immigration and Refugee Acts.
  • Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and report writing.
