What You’ll Do
- Promote labour peace and create a harmonious working environment.
- Manage disciplinary cases, including investigations and presiding over hearings.
- Facilitate the grievance process, ensuring fair and unbiased resolutions.
- Coordinate dispute resolution processes, including preparation and representation in conciliation and arbitration.
- Research and develop training materials, and deliver in-house training and workshops.
- Manage the unit’s performance, including resource allocation and routine reporting.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF level 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in labour relations.
- Strong knowledge of the Public Service Act and Labour Relations Act.
- Understanding of Public Administration principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to accountability and ethical conduct.
