What You’ll Do

  • Manage facilities and auxiliary services to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on health and safety practices for management.
  • Establish and maintain safety, health, and environmental (SHE) committees.
  • Investigate and report on workplace accidents, hazards, and health issues.
  • Develop and implement a physical facilities strategy for the department.
  • Facilitate lease renewals and procure alternative accommodation as needed.
  • Oversee cleaning and pest control services to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the Business Continuity Plan.
  • Assist with the payment of lease rentals and municipal services.
  • Create and maintain physical security strategies for departmental facilities.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate NQF level 6 qualification in Facilities Management, Logistics Management, Safety Management, or a relevant equivalent qualification.
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in Facilities Management or Safety Management.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, including report writing.
  • A customer-oriented approach with a focus on service delivery innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
  • Knowledge of HIRA and the accommodation needs analysis process.
  • Familiarity with emergency planning, business continuity, and property management.
