What You’ll Do

  • Manage and facilitate budgeting processes for the hospital.
  • Compile budget estimates and align them with strategic and annual performance plans.
  • Provide guidance and advice on budget-related matters to stakeholders.
  • Monitor expenditure against the allocated budget to ensure compliance.
  • Confirm availability of funds prior to procurement of goods and services.
  • Ensure correct SCOA allocations are utilized on payment packs.
  • Review monthly document control reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare equitable and conditional grants expenditure reports.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit queries and implement audit recommendations.
  • Alert hospital management to trends in over and under expenditure.
  • Complete accurate and timely financial reports as required.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance, Financial Management, or Management Accounting as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Financial Management at a supervisory or management level (Level 7/8).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
