What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the development of visual and performing arts in the Mopani District.
- Implement and maintain policies related to visual and performing arts activities.
- Provide professional advice and support to stakeholders involved in cultural activities.
- Organize training sessions and create marketing platforms to promote arts and culture.
- Develop and promote opportunities for emerging artists, crafters, and authors.
- Supervise and support employees to ensure effective service delivery.
- Establish and maintain committees for visual arts, literature, and heritage.
- Manage databases related to visual arts, theatre, film, and heritage.
- Identify and nurture talent in theatre, film, and video production.
- Develop and implement marketing plans for local arts and culture initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 06/07) in Arts and Culture studies, Heritage and Cultural Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the arts and culture sector.
- Valid driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
- In-depth knowledge of relevant arts, culture, heritage, and language prescripts.
- Strong project management and advanced computer skills.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability in financial management and budgeting.
