What You’ll Do
- Lead the innovation and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing financial processes.
- Manage team operations to meet and exceed the targets outlined in the Operational Plan.
- Review and approve claim letters for each department to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze inter-departmental financial data to identify trends and recovery opportunities.
- Facilitate payments to third-party creditors while managing debts effectively.
- Implement process improvements to enhance statutory deductions management.
- Prepare inter-departmental financial statements and provide comprehensive reports to management.
- Identify and address any fraudulent or incorrect payments proactively.
- Conduct monthly and bi-annual tax and UIF reconciliations.
- Resolve unresolved cases as reported by practitioners within the department.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 6) in Accounting or Finance, recognized by SAQA.
- 3-5 years of experience in a statutory deductions management environment.
- Proficiency in PERSAL, BAS, and SAP systems.
- Project management experience will be considered an advantage.
