What You’ll Do
- Prepare the court for proceedings by checking equipment and ensuring readiness.
- Test and report any faults on the Circuit Court and local Court recording machines.
- Capture cases on the CRT machine and maintain accurate records in the court book.
- Record court proceedings, ensuring precise annotations and details are added.
- Operate recording equipment during Children’s Court sessions.
- Conduct regular data backups and manage recordings for transcription.
- Respond to playback requests and verify court orders as needed.
- Manage travel arrangements to circuit courts to ensure timely attendance.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate is essential.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- No prior experience is required; however, experience in general administration or court-related functions is advantageous.
- Knowledge of digital recording processes and court proceedings is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly MS Office.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
